Haircuts

Today was kind of neat because we all got our hair cut. Harley and Lee came home from grocery shop with haircuts looking good! I already had an appointment for this afternoon to get highlights and a trim. I kept on saying that I wasn't going to get Easton's hair cut until he was one but changed my mind today while sitting in the chair. I called Harley when she was just about done foiling and had him bring Easton up and he sat in my lap and got his first haircut. He was really good! I feel bad because I don't have any pictures of it, I didn't have my camera and my cell phone battery was dead. He looks really cute though. His hair grew so fast it was over his ears and down a little bit of his neck. Now that I see it after I am glad I decided to get it cut now. So, for our Christmas pictures Friday we will all have good hair!

Outside fun at night time

We went outside tonight for a little bit after Easton went to bed and it was actually really nice out. There was a little bit of a breeze and not too hot I didn't even break a sweat. Harley made Lee run around the house a few times to burn some energy, he had a little too much energy tonight, so hopefully it worked. I leave the lights on outside at night for the lizards and geckos to keep them nice and warm and also so more bugs come around for them to eat to keep them nice and fat. The picture of the gecko is one of the tiniest geckos I have seen here so he really needs to grow and fatten up. Isn't he cute??

The boys

Here are some recent pictures of the boys. They are growing WAY too fast. Easton is awnry as ever, I don't remember Lee being into everything that he shouldn't be like Easton is. He is cruising along the furniture and when Lee is home Easton is on Lee like white on rice! He is all about his big brother. We are getting our Christmas pictures taken in a few days so I will post them next week. I am so lucky to know a wonderful photographer that takes the pictures and will have them ready in one or two days and we get a CD with all of the pictures on them. Try not to be jealous when you see the picture, they won't be normal Christmas pictures, outside by the ocean along the palm trees. That's all I will say, I know you all are freezing back home but I hope the pictures will make you feel warm. Look at the brotherly love!

Easton's cheese face!
He thinks he is one cool dude!
Cruising around.
Lee with his best friends Aiden and Taylor
Don't be fooled by this innocent look, he is rotten!
See what I mean by white on rice.

Lee and Toadie

This is Lee and his new friend Toadie. Toadie is a toad that hangs out by our front door. He is about 3 times bigger than any toad I've ever seen in IL or VA. It took a little bit of convincing to get Lee to pick him up, but once Toadie started to hop away he snatched him right up and hence their friendship was born.

Lee and Dad's Big Adventure # 4

Hey everyone, this is Harley again writing to tell you about Lee and I's latest adventure. We took a car trip around to southern half of the island and made a few stops to do some small hikes since Lee loves to hike. The southern part of Guam is still very rural and is very beautiful. The road takes you all along the coast, so on one side is gorgeous coastline and the other is green mountains. We had a great time and it took about 3 hours to complete. This is actually the point that our house sits on top of, it is called Orote Point and is very large, in fact pretty much the whole navy base sits on top it. Here was a little pool where water gets trapped, the tide was comming in so there was actually a little waterfall right behind Lee.
Lee the adventurer.
The surf was really pretty big in the background.

This is the view from atop the cliff where an old Spanish Fort was at overlooking the Umantec Bay and the little village. Cannons inside the fort.
The view of the mountains behind the fort.
At the fort was this fruit stand full of fruits grown on Guam. Lee and I ate some little bananas that were delicious. The man also had fresh coconut and guava and mangos.

What a handsome man!
This is Bessie and she is a 30 year old Caribou.. otherwise known as a water buffalo. They are common on Guam... in the old times they were used to plow fields. I think in some places in the south they are still used. The man said that Bessie was too old to plow the fields so she is retired. She hangs out in the shade all day and lets tourist take her picture.
Hi Bessie

last photos of adventure # 4...

This stop was at another WWII site. When the marines invaded Guam in 1944 to retake it from the Japanese they landed at two spots. Our earlier hike was at Asan Beach today we were at Agat Beach. This photo is of a Japanese pillbox where a small cannon would have been to attack the landing marines. Cheese
